Essar Steel Minnesota, LLChttp://www.minnesotasteel.comEssar Steel Minnesota, LLC, owned by Essar Steel Holdings Limited Group, is a fully-integrated onsite, mining through steelmaking facility to be built near Nashwauk. The project includes an open pit mine, iron ore concentrate, pellet, direct-reduced iron plants and a steel slab production facility. It is designed to produce up to 2.5 million tons of steel annually. Development will create hundreds of new mining, processing and support jobs, ancillary businesses, a significant number of spin-off jobs, and result in millions of dollars of new taxes paid that would benefit local communities and the state.
