Twin Metalshttp://www.twin-metals.comThe Twin Metals’ Nokomis Deposit project is a proposed underground copper, nickel, and precious metals mine (platinum group metals plus gold and silver) located southeast of Ely. Twin Metals has about 3,000 acres of land that it is exploring under a combination of state and private mineral leases and federal prospecting permits. The top of the deposit lies about 1,000 feet below the surface and extends to depths of about 4,000 feet. Mineralized thicknesses range from 40 to over 400 feet, with 125 feet being a representative average. In a number of areas, the highest grades of copper and nickel appear to be concentrated within the upper 100 feet of the main body. An independent NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate resulted in a calculated 347 million tons of indicated resources (382 million tons) and 108 million tons of inferred resources (119 million tons). Seven holes were historically drilled on the property by other companies, and since March 14, 2006, Twin Metals has drilled over 80 holes on the property; to date, over 60 miles of diamond drill core have been drilled by the company. Other drill holes located off the property from the Natural Resources Research Institute (NRRI) and Maturi property databases were used to help model the Nokomis Deposit. Five drills are currently on site continuing with definition and exploratory drilling. Twin Metals has also completed an independent NI 43-101 Scoping Study on its Nokomis Deposit. The Scoping Study confirms robust economics and the Study's economic parameters indicate the potential for the Nokomis Project to be one of the world's lowest cost copper-nickel producers operating on a large scale over a very long period of time. Twin Metals also holds strategic land positions with 1,845 acres at the Dunka Property site, which includes the former Dunka Pit and is being evaluated as a processing and tailing site for the Nokomis Deposit, and an additional 8,880 acres of State mineral leases south of the Nokomis Deposit for future exploration. Presently Twin Metals employs approximately 50 persons directly or via contractors in Minnesota. It is estimated that development of the project would create hundreds of new construction and permanent jobs, generate millions of dollars in taxes to local communities and the state and create numerous spin-off jobs.
