Greater Minnesota Housing Fund
As Minnesota's largest private funding intermediary for affordable housing in rural communities, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (GMHF) specializes in creating and administering financing programs that support the production of affordable workforce rental, homeownership, and supportive housing. GMHF encourages employer investment in affordable housing, mixed-income housing development, better neighborhood design, wise use of land, and best practices in cost reduction and energy efficiency. To date, GMHF has financed nearly 7,400 affordable homes and made over $95 million in private charitable funding available to communities in the 80 counties in rural Minnesota. GMHF is a special project of the McKnight Foundation and the Blandin Foundation.
